Yesterday Sucked.

Update:

I called this morning to get Parker’s crit results. The gal on the other end of the line started rattling off numbers and then told me that there was an ‘issue’ with Parker’s blood work. She said this ‘issue’ was highlighted, underscored and had a few exclamation points after it.

Damn. It.

I’ve only got the University of Google to refer to about this issue. And from what I’ve read it isn’t good. But I also don’t know how the other values in his blood work relate to this either. That may make difference.

I asked this gal the what in the world this issue meant. She had no clue. Then I think she realized that I was not a medical person. Because medical people I guess should have a clue, ya know?

She asked me who I was. And I told her. Parker’s Mom.

Opps.

I ALWAYS call to get Parker’s BNP, CRIT and liver panel results. It is easier for me to call them then it is for me to call a doctor’s office, have a nurse look it up, and then call me back. I keep close records of all of these values. Many times Parker’s cardiologist will call with the BNP and liver panel results, but not the bi-weekly crit results.

I’m not going to lie. I am very worried about this. I have raised the question of he bleeding from his lower stoma over and over again. But when I have taken him up to PCMC he never has any of this in his ostomy bag to show the surgeon.

There is absolutely something going on.

Keep those prayers coming, k? Cause it looks like we are in for several more super sucky days ahead.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yesterday Sucked.
Literally.
To the point where the blood in the veins of both of Parker’s little arms was sucked dry.
Then they went to his toes.
Then one large vial clotted.
So we have to go back on Monday for round two.
Today we have to collect a urine sample. With a U bag that is bigger than Parker is. Yeah. That’s going to work.
I am thinking that after his Lasix dose I will just let him hang out bare bummed while I sit next to him with a specimen jar.
And hope I get lucky.
And not totally soaked.
There is something going on with his lower stoma that shouldn’t be.
Please pray that this can be an easy fix and not something serious that we have simply yet to find.
    Hey.
    What’s the lag time between the lab getting results and the doctor getting them, and getting back to you? I’d be on the phone with them first thing in the morning :)
    I only know how crit, iron saturation balance each other. I’m useless otherwise.
    But sweetie- stay off the computer or you’re going to freak yourself out more. I know how that goes-
    Call me if you need an ear. I’m around all day, and until 2MT tomorrow. Ok?
