The surgeon came in today to examine Parker. He then removed Parker’s Foley.
Then he spoke the most beautiful words ever:
“When Parker is up to full feeds and wets a few diapers HE CAN GO HOME.”
Such a totally unexpected blessing.
The PICU is filling up again. And I’ve heard that the floors are bustling too.
But our Brave Hero can come home. So much earlier than anticipated. And he is having an even better day today than he had yesterday.
Prayers are answered.
Yay! That is wonderful news for our dear brave hero!!
What wonderful news! I will keep praying that he will have a speedy recovery.

I’ve been reading along, haven’t commented, but I have been thinking of you and sending my healing thoughts. I am so glad to hear Parker can go home soon. Keep getting better, little Guy!
No place better then home ! Prayers have been answered that this leg of the journey for Parker is just about over, a little sooner then expected and he will be able to get back to the loving arms of all his family. Praying for continued progress so he can get back to cruising around!

I wish I could think of something fun to do for a week or so that does not include either sitting or your tush or lying on your stomach…will he let you wear him lying on his side in a sling? I guess bubbles, videos and lots of nice calm music and book reading are in order…I hope the time passes quickly…and that Parker continues to have good pain control and a complete and speedy recovery…
