We Still Need Your Support

Parky and I are still HERE.

And we still need all the support we can get.

After you’ve read Once Upon A Time There Was A Retard…. would you please post a link to your blog and ask your readers, family and friends to go and read it as well?

It’s important. Really.

Yeah. I read about this earlier today. So frustrating. I don’t understand why people think they can do this… we won’t be seeing this movie.

  2. Michelle says:

Wow, I had no idea the movie was about that. Then again, I can’t remember the last time I went to see a “grown up” movie! Seriously though, that just makes me sad. I can just see a bunch of 17 year olds running around with that t-shirt on. Great.

I personally did not have prenatal testing on either of my kids because I refuse to abort any child that God has given to me. It makes me sad that some people only want a child if fits into their idea of what is “perfect”.

  3. Christina says:

We support the boycott and have blogged about it as well!

  4. Sandra says:

That is just sad Tammy, honestly I don’t know what this world is coming too.

  5. Kay says:

No worries on this end about seeing a movie that ridicules others.

  6. Kay says:

That meant I will not see a movie like that. I re-read my original post and it could be taken otherwise. Eeep. Sorry.

  7. Jenni says:

How stupid can the studio execs/Ben Stiller be? I used to love Ben Stiller. I won’t see the movie, and I’ll tell everyone I know not to either.
I’ve been lurking on your site for awhile, but this compelled me to leave a comment.
Parker is adorable! Love to see what he’s up to! Take care, JenK

  8. WELL, I can tell you this much! I will NEVER EVER EVER watch another Ben Stiller movie!!! I will tell everyone I know NOT to see it! How awful! Everyone involved in the making of that movie is just stupid. And to think, I used to love Ben Stiller! Not anymore!

That picture of Parker is so beautiful. I love him so much Tammy. Truly I do!
    Love,
    Amy

Wow, I’m amazed they would put out a movie like this. Looks like the pot is boiling in so many ways that people don’t even recognize!
On a side note, my dad passed away last month and he had a ton of ostomy supplies! I thought about Parker, looked at the bags, etc. and realized they are as big as he is! They went to the wound clinic instead:) My offer to make some comfy covers still stands.

I am with you on the boycott and I am hoping others will follow in suit – I have placed in a link to your blog so others can read the information that you have provided and make their decision on their own.

I find it ironic that people make fun of “retards” when they are actually the ones who are the most special spirits in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. They were so valiant that the Lord would not have them be tempted and be held in the bounds of sin. We, as a society, should take a lesson from these special spirits. They love unconditionally and don’t know how to be hurtful towards others. Parker is such a cutie and I hope that as he gets older he knows how special he is and how much his family loves him. Keep up the fight, Tammy!

  12. I have certainly made my thoughts known.

Thank you for keeping this at the forefront. I know the time and research you have invested in this issue.

  13. Krystal says:

God bless you for the support you are showing to all of our children and others with intellectual special needs!!!
