Parker made it through the MRI. yea! So, sooooo thankful and happy. They drew the BNP lab while he was zonked from the MRI sedation. They tried to get it earlier but after watching the gal do the famous ‘fishing for a lucky hit’ with the needle I suggested we think of a Plan B………..NOW!
If the BNP has gotten higher they will admit Parker to the PICU and start administering a drug who’s name now escapes me. Oh, well. I wouldn’t know how to spell it anyway. Metradone? But we are praying and hoping that his BNP will look better and MAYBE if the MRI looks good we can go HOME.
Ah…………a sweeter word was never heard. Well, ‘Congrats Mrs. Hodson Parker no longer has PH and is totally healthy!’, would be the all time sweetest, but one step at a time, eh?
We don’t have any results yet. But we have our sweet little guy back in our arms………..screaming and yelling, but back in our arms none the less.
I’m not sure I have what it takes to put him through that Sweat Chloride Test today. We may just bring him back up later for that.
Thanks so much for all of the love, support and PRAYERS.

Praise the Lord!! Thanks for the update… Been thinking of him all morning!!

The Sweat Chloride Test is really, really easy. It doesn’t hurt at all. My son has had it done twice, 2 different ways and couldn’t of cared in the least. They put a chemical (that doesn’t hurt) on an appendage. One hospital put a little disk on his arm over the chemical like a bracelet that was velcro’d on. Then we waited for about 30 minutes till the disk turned totally blue, they take it off, and they take the disk and get the sodium off of it measured. I can’t remember exactly how they did it the 2nd time. That was part of our 10 day hospital trip fog. But he didn’t care about it that time either. And he would freak out anytime anyone touched him but the CF tests didn’t bother him a bit.
Praying you get to go home soon.

Hugs hugs hugs… hopefully you will have answers soon. The sweat chloride test isn’t horrible (we did two different ones a couple of years back) but with all he’s been through, I would probably put it off for a few days… poor kiddo!
Good news so far…keep it coming! Still thinking about sweet Parker.
I’m still praying for the little guy. The news is good so far. I hope the other tests go well.
