Tomorrow

we will be checking back in to Primary Children’s with Parker. I’m expecting a call from his cardiologist this evening with all the details. Parker will be receiving another blood transfusion and they are going to try and get his electrolytes back under control via IV fluids.

Ask me how many times I have kicked myself for not getting a friends and family blood bank set up for Parker yet. arrgh!

We will be consulting with the GI doctor about the Nissen and G-tube surgery again.

And we have a request in for a consultation for with new surgeon.

A new formula, even more elemental than the one he is one now, has been ordered.

My feeling is that they will use this week to get Parker tuned back up and then get him in while he is healthy and have the Nissen and G-tube surgeries performed. Which means that me and my littlest buddy will be hanging out together on Thanksgiving.

I wonder if the cafeteria at PCMC will be making their grilled cheese sandwiches in the shapes of turkeys. Cause grilled cheese sandwiches are just about the only safe thing to eat up there.

But, looking on the bright side, I can remind myself that somebody else will have to clean up the Thanksgiving Day kitchen this year. ;)

  1. Good luck Tammy! I hope sweet Parker gets to feeling better and stronger to have the surgery and that it helps!!! Sending up prayers for you all. I will be thinking of you the next few weeks ( actually, I do every day). Love you Parky :)

    Hugs to the family,
    Amy

Waiting with baited breath! Praying hard! Loving grilled cheese!

  3. Tammy, I’ve said most everything I know to say in the previous post comments. Just know a family in GA loves you and prays really, really hard for Parker to grow big and strong…to run and play…to be a healthy little boy.

Love ya. Hugs and prayers, always.

  4. Melissa says:

Grilled cheese actually doesn’t sound too bad for Thanksgiving. Super easy cleanup is what I’m all about. Good luck girl…

  5. Watched Pollyanna last week so I’m into playing The Glad Game lately. What is there to be glad about all of this? That Parker is getting help, grilled cheese turkeys with no cleanup, there are hundreds of thousands of people out there praying for Parker and his family. I’m sure there are more so I am challenging everyone to come up with three things to be glad about.

  6. Melissa says:

Praying for you and Parker. I hope it all goes well!

  7. Paige says:

    Oh, I’m so sorry!

Yes, you are the mom, and you can do this.

Praying for you and the family.

  8. Anne says:

Thinking of and praying for you all in South Carolina.

  9. LeeJo says:

Wonder Woman, I put an award up for you at my place. I know you’re busy, even if you can’t follow through, just head on up to Primary Children’s knowing that LeeJo thinks you are wonder woman.

  10. Kay says:

Parker is in God’s loving hands!

Many prayers and much love to you all!

    Kay

  11. Christy says:

Tammy at the hospital have a shower, surely you don’t need to wash in a sink. That Parker of yours is a tough little cookie. All the best for the coming weeks. Love to all of your family.
    Christy

  12. Sue Searles says:

I’m praying, praying and praying even more that all will go smoothly while Parker is in the Hospital. I pray that he will regain his strength and health. I’m also praying that you will have continued strength for another Hospital stay and for those that are left at home, to be comforted without mom at home.

    Love in Christ,
    Sue
