Parker was an Olympic Wiggle Worm today during his echo today. We’ll be do the sedated echo variety from now on.
But while they weren’t able to get all of the values they needed, the ones they were able to get looked pretty good.
Let me say that again. Pretty Good.
Don’t get to type that as often as I would like to.
Parker’s right ventricle side usually comes in at a higher pressure than his left. Today it was reversed. That’s a good thing. I’m not sure if I’m reporting this absolutely correctly. I was too busy asking, “But that’s a GOOD thing, right?”
But you get the gist of the appointment.
There will be a sedated EKG scheduled during his pull-through surgery on November 7th. If the wave spikes on the EKG aren’t spiking as high as they have previously, then we will indeed have something to celebrate. That along with the next round of blood draws coming back looking better.
As of today though, I am going to focus on the positives we have been blessed with.
Parker’s up 1.5 pounds.
Parker has the energy to now pull himself up and cruise everywhere there is something for him to hold on to.
We have the potential afforded to us by Parker’s new trach size, vent, pulmonologist/sleep specialist and RT.
Thank you so much for the prayers and good thoughts. You may find it hard to believe, but we absolutely can feel them. They calm us. Uplift us. Help us hold on to our hope.
Knowing that there are others who believe in Parker’s potential means more to us than mere words can convey.

Prayers continue.
Pretty good! That’s good news. Sounds like you’ve got potential for even more improvement in the short run. YAY!
Woo-hoo!!!
So happy to hear this! Hurrah for prayers
YAY Parker!! Go left ventricle, go!
Yes, pressure in the left side ought to be higher than in the right. The left side sends the blood allllll the way down to his toes and his fingertips, and the right only has to push the blood gently into the lungs.
*applauds the weight gain*
Energy is good, too, especially for cruising.
Parker’s Potential: I believe Parker has the potential to do everything my Margret did, and then some. Especially that Parker has the potential of growing out of his PH.
GO PARKER!!! GO TAMMY!!!
and you’re in my prayers right now.
Doing a little happy dance here. Of course, we’ll continue to keep you in our prayers.
Awesome news about his pulling up and cruising!
He is amazing.
Woot!!! That’s awesome. Type those words again because you deserve it.
Yeah for Parker! The news makes my day!
Fantastic! So happy to share in this great news.
Wait pull-through surgery? By any chance does Parker have HD (Hirschsprung’s Disease) or IA (impreforate anus)???? My lil guy has HD and had his pull thru just this past summer.
Weight gain? That’s Fabulous for Parker! I’ll keep putting his name on the prayer roll.
