PACs Anyone? UPDATE…..

EKG read. PACs thought to be caused by stress of surgery and perhaps Nubaine. We’ll be watching to see if they get worse.

EKG will be read again by Dr. Day tomorrow.

The night of a surgery is always the worst for our Brave Hero. I’ve started insisting that Reed stay up here with me because of the horrible post op nights I have previously spent here alone making intense decisions all by myself.

Yup. I be a Wus.

Need to find me a pair of Big Girl Panties.

But tonight I’m here alone. Reed’s working on his brother’s eulogy to be given tomorrow. And that is exactly what he should be doing.

But, man, do I wish I would have asked my GP to write me a script for a Xanax or two.

When I get exceptionally stressed my skin starts to feel as though it is on fire. Painfully on fire.

And I be a bit stressed right now.

Thanks for holding my hand through this. I appreciate it more than you know.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Parker’s heart is experiencing a funky rhythm. PACs.
EKG ordered. PACs captured. Along with some other stuff that the doctor will want to see.
Blood draws ordered.
And so it starts.
Crap.
    Peace be with you.
  9. Mrs. Mac says:
    Been thinking of you guys. Hoping and praying that your little trouper will be home once again. BTW we used cloth diapers at first … when you have to go through 20 + a day, it’s more cost efficient. When we couldn’t afford the expensive ‘butt paste’ we made our own with generic desitin mixed with baby talc/powder. Get a high zinc content in the paste.
  10. MomOf3(4ToB) says:
    Praying hard for you right now!
  11. Janel says:
    thinking of you guys today. I’m happy to read so far things are going ok despite this setback which I hope will turn out to be nothing.Before you toss all your unused ostomy supplies think about donating them to another family in-need maybe. I know I still have all of ours. We had our ostomy for so long it was hard to say goodbye. Tyler actually said goodbye to his stoma. Yes he use to talk to stoma daily…too cute.
    Think of all the free time you will have now that you don’t have to deal with the bag!
  12. Randi says:
    PRAYING HARD FOR YOUR WHOLE FAMILY!
    Stay Strong!
    God Bless
  13. Janel,
    We absolutely will be donating all of our unused ostomy stuff. The only stuff we are getting rid of are the couple of bags and one strip of paste that traveled around with us everywhere in the diaper bag in case of an emergency, or a hospital stay.
    Everything else will be donated. :D
  14. Christine says:
    Tammy, I’m sure I speak for your other blogger friends as well when I say I wish I could be there to support you in person.
    Praying for you, Parker and your family. So sorry to hear about Reed’s loss.
  15. Pam says:
    Rhett had this as well, infact he had it when he was on Nubain. As soon as they stopped the Nubain it went away. This was when he had his Nissen and G-tube done.
    We will be praying lots and lots that it’s something easy to fix like just a reaction to meds, and nothing to worry about.
    Glad you are not in the PICU, at least you don’t have to worry about where you will be sleeping. Good luck, and like I said we are praying super hard that Parker is home and all healed up very soon.
    After all he is a superhero!
  16. Suzi Searles says:
    Been praying for Parker and you all day. I will step it up a notch, especially for his heart rate and oxyen numbers to equalize up. I will also be praying for Reed tomorrow at his brother’s funeral.
  19. Megan says:
    I’m praying that he had a good night, and that today will be a good day.
  20. mum2brady says:
    Praying that your night went well and that the PAC’s are just from the medication or stress of surgery and resolve themselves quickly. When I had a couple EKG’s a year or two back, I had some of those too – I never felt them and they didn’t seem to worried about them – of course I don’t have Parky’s heart stuff either – but I hope that it’s nothing significant for your cute guy either!
    Sending lots of prayers and love!!!
  21. MomOf3(4ToB) says:
    Just checking in to see how Parker is doing. Still praying for you alL!
  22. Melissa says:
    Lots of prayers coming your way! LOTS!!
  23. Michelle says:
    What does PAC mean? I’m praying everything starts to settle down for Parker!
    I’m really sorry to hear about Reed’s brother too … sending my prayers to all of you.
  24. jennifergg says:
    Oh, my. How I wish I could be there with you because no mother, ever, should have to be alone if she doesn’t want to be.
    And? I need a pair of Big Girl Panties, too. If you find them, get me a some?
    In the mean time I will hold your hand from afar.
    And light a candle, and keep a good thought, and say a little prayer for your whole family of Brave Heroes.
    xo
  25. Holding your hand…holding Parker in prayer. ox
  26. MomOf3(4ToB) says:
    We will be praying for you in church this morning!
