On the Second Day of Christmas we found outside our door,
Not just a bit of magic, but really so much more.
A bag of silver filled with treats of gold.
And a Costco gift card too!
My kids began planning on what to spend that little card of blue, but having just read Spools, Sugar, Soap and Soup I knew what I was going to do.
For just like Brin, preparedness has become my thing.
I want to have enough of what we need in case of disaster, illness, unemployment and the unforeseen.
And by unforeseen I mean trying to keep a medically fragile kid with Down syndrome alive, if you know what I mean.

Great minds, Tammy! LOL! I wrote a 2 part peice about this @ http://www.livingwithspecialneeds.com The real reason I wanted to send you that direction is that in the second part, I found another blogger who litterally lists EVERY preparedness resource you can imagine….from suppliers to calculators and articles, etc. Found him months ago and haven’t even been able to get through a quarter of what is on his site.

Steph,
I looked but couldn’t find the post you are referring to. If you want to include a direct link to it, that would be great! I’d love to see not only the site you are talking about, but the post you wrote!

So much better than two turtle doves! I’ll be checking-out that linked reference on preparedness, too. Funny how children choose to spend money that is not theirs, isn’t it?

Barbara,
Yeah, I’m thinking that two turtle doves would also come with bird poop…..one extra thing to clean up. heh.
