I’m an only child.
Which means that I never had to share a bedroom while growing up.
Or a bathroom.
Nor did I have have to spit on my food to insure that it would be there later when I wanted it.
Just keepin’ it real folks.
But it also means that I never understood the bond between siblings.
The knowledge that while you may fight like cats and dogs at home, when the going gets rough your siblings will have your back.
Sometimes, in a fit of exasperation, one of my kids will tell me how lucky I was to be the only kid.
But deep down inside they know the truth.
Because of each other life is so much sweeter. No matter where their lives may take them there will always be five others thinking about them. Praying for their safety. Five others to turn to for support.
And blame all the mess in the basement on.

Beautiful post Tammy! This is why I love having five boys. I hope they always have each other’s backs. These pictures are so cute!
Happy Fourth!
Love,
Amy
I was also an only. My 9 children have the solid bond with their sibs that I always wanted for myself. Yep, and someone to take the fall for them. They are learning to be the givers and the recipients of grace!
I love your pictures!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I haven’t been to yours yet. Although now that I am here, the “praying for Parker” button looks very familiar from other websites. I only read your first few posts but I really enjoy your writing style. I like your humor. I can’t wait to get to know more about Parker. How old is he? What state are you guys in? Have a great 4th!!
I am so glad you found my blog! I haven’t seen yours yet… but I will continue to follow now! Your family is beautiful!
