how when you really, really, really want something you can convince yourself that it is so?
Tonight was Parker’s bath and big weigh in. I thought for sure that he had gained weight. I anticipated lots of cheering and clapping and rejoicing when we put Parker’s naked little tush up on the scale and watched as it settled on a new weight……one higher than ever before.
I was totally incredulous to discover that Parker had instead lost almost a half a pound. I tried again several times. I checked and rechecked to make sure the scale was working properly. Same results. A half a pound less.
We go tomorrow to Parker’s Pedi for a follow up appointment. Weight gain will be a big topic to be discussed. My heart just sank back to my toes tonight.
The next time you pray would you ask for help with Parker’s weight gain. This is so very important right now. It has been such a struggle and we could really use some extra help.

Parker has so much going on right now, it’s nice to know specifically what to pray for, Tammy. You can count on it.
I will be praying Parker will gain weight. I know how hard it is to put weight on these special little ones, as my son Luke has weighed the same for at least a year.
I’ve also been praying that God will bring someone your way to help. Luke also had a trache so I know the challenges it can bring to a home. Where do you live? Perhaps I can help out if you are close enough and want help.
Love in Christ,
Sue
I have to think that would be expected after all he’s been through. I sincerely believe he’ll start heading back up now that he’s home. How are you going to get to the ped with all the equipment- ughh! I’ll be sending lots of positive thoughts for Parky and you today.
I wish I could send a few pounds (really, more!) directly from me to Parky – then we would both be happier! I’m sorry the scale didn’t show what you wanted today…maybe even though you are on the right nutritional track with the new formula and the microlipids, his body is just recovering from all the medical hoo haa of the past two weeks? I hope and pray that this week will bring added pounds and ounces to his adorableness.
Im praying for Parker to gain weight.
Praying for weight gain.
I’m praying for weight gain Tammy. While Delphine has not been through near what Parker and you have. I know all to well that sinking heart feeling when the scale doesn’t go up as you expected.
Weight gain is the ONE area in all this I can relate to you, in some way – Zachary is very little too and has not really gained since he was 18 months old. Every time we hit the scales, it say’s 26 pounds – ever since 18 months – he’s eating more but it’s still not moving. It’s so hard when your just SURE it’s gonna go up and does not.
Your in my prayers as is Parker always I will say a special prayer for some weight coming his way!
Praying that his weight goes up soon. And prayers for you too Tammy. I wish we were closer to give you some help.
Praying that he gains some weight soon. Thanks for the update on him.
My prayers continue and I’ll even say one for Parker to gain some weight!! HUGS!
You’ve got it! C’mon Parker…. time to gain some weight!
HUGS!

You got it, baby. I’m with others, I think it will start coming back now that he’s home. Once his routine gets settled, the weight will just pack itself on.
Tammy, you best believe I’ll be praying about this. Kiss that cute baby for me.

I’m always praying for your precious boy… but I said an extra one for him last night! “Please bless so and so to get fat” is definitely NOT a normal part of my usual prayers, it just feels wrong! But for you guys, I can make an exception! You are an amazing momma… hope your day goes well today!!
Sending some weight gain prayers from here too.
Can’t you just ask if he can keep his diaper on while they weigh him?? Then you could sneak some extra weight in there. Something that could be thrown away… of course
praying for Parker to gain some weight!

Praying for weight.
I’m praying Tammy.
So sorry! I hope he gains soon!
Michael sends weight gain vibes to his buddy Parker. We are no longer weighing every week and I look back and can’t believe the stress of that time. I remember being amazed that with the ng tube, Michael was still prone to lose a half a pound here and there. I thought it would be all gaining once he had the tube. He did gain in his own time though. It’s just so hard to look at the scale so often and see the ups AND downs. I’m sure the ounces will start adding up soon. Keeping you guys all in prayers. How did the ped appointment go? HUGS.
