Parker’s been working on mastering his shapes.
We’ve identified.
We’ve matched.
We’ve traced.
Colored
and created.
Now we are upping our game.
We offer Parker two different shapes and ask him to hand us a specific one.
This is a three step command.
He must correctly identify the shape.
Then pick it up
and place it in my hand.
Soon we’ll move it up to giving him the choice of three shapes.
Then four.
Who knows how many more?
No big deal?
It is if you are 5 and spent the first three years of your life too sick to do anything academic.
And have undergone three invasive surgeries in the last year and a half.
Actually, my kid doesn’t really even need the cape to soar.
