We are home. We got home late Tuesday afternoon. I did post a Tweet, but my Tweet is broken I think. Don’t know how to fix that.
They sent us home with orders to give Tylenol and Moltrin.
Yeah. That worked about as well as it sounds like it would.
Coughing is the worst. When Parker coughs he puts all kinds of pressure on his tummy and newly stitched insides. Trach kids need to cough pretty deeply to bring up the gunk from their lungs. I think that Parker should have received something with a little more bang because of this.
Instead we’ve just been trying to weather the days as best we can.
While hoping the tomorrow is better.
We’re still waiting on that one. It may take us a few more tomorrows to get there.
But the good news:
*There is no sign of infection! Yea! HUGE blessing. ::::Pardon me while I go and knock on some wood though, just in case.:::::
*I can now sing every word to every very to every song that Rachel has ever written for Signing Time. Which would be awesome if I could carry a tune.
*Parker and I have had lots of time together to love on each other. I’m still working on getting him to forgive me for putting him through another surgery. But I think we’re getting closer.
Kinda. sigh…..
*The poop is still coming out of that new tushy just like it should. I’ve had emails asking for picture of Parker’s brand new Teeny Tiny Designer Hiney. But I’ve decided that a guy needs some privacy.
Maybe a pic of the giant scar that traverses our Brave Hero’s tummy?
I do have a question for any btdt Moms:
Have any of your kids had their reflux get worse after a pull-through?
As soon as I have a minute to catch my breath I’ll update again…..with pictures. I promise.
Until then, here’s a giant Parky Smooch for ya ———> *smooch*

So glad you’re home! And wonderfully happy there is no infection! Give your Brave Lil’ Hero a hug & smooch from us!
so glad to hear you are home! yeah…..I think people heal better and feel better at home. Too many infections in the hospitals!!
hugs and prayers and I hope Parker is not in too much pain.
Home sweet Home! So happy to read you made it. My heart aches for your Brave Lil Hero!! Hopefully now he is where he is supposed to be he will recuperate faster. Sending prayers always
Big Smooch Back To Parky!!!!
So glad you are all back home and that everything is going well.
I wish they would have given him something more for the pain too. ((Hugs for the little guy))
And a ((BIG HUG)) for the Momma!
So happy you are home and things are going sort of well. I hope that your little guy isn’t in too much pain. Hopefully the pain will soon be over and done with. Big hugs & lots of prayers.

Glad to hear you are home. Knocking on wood here too that Parker is infection free. Hope the pains subsides a little for him.
Oh, sent Huggies coupons out to you today–lets see how long it takes the mail to get from CT to UT.
Sorry I have been so out of touch while you were away, but Parker and the rest of the family have been in my thoughts and prayers. I am so glad to hear that you are home and that things are looking good (even if they don’t always smell so great!).
Lots of kisses for Parker .
Glad to hear you guys are at home, but stumped as to why they didn’t give him a pain medicine.
Hopefully little man will start to feel better soon. That was the roughest of the hiney surgeries. Closing the colostomy was a painful one. As far as the reflux, I think Gavin’s got worse after the closure also. He was not on Prevacid until after the closure. He was more of a silent refluxer though and it went undiagnosed for a while which led to lots of feeding issues, Ugh! Another big thing is making sure he empties his bowels every 24 hours, if not, that definitely makes the reflux worse. Good luck!! (((((HUGS))))))
I’m so glad Parker is home!! I hope he feels better soon. I’m sad that I missed you again, maybe on the next surgery. (Does Parker have another one coming up?)
I’m sure Parker will forgive you, eventually!
so happy to hear you are home. continued prayers for Parker, hope his pain starts to subside quickly.
All good news…welcome home!
I’ve been reading and praying for both of you. I’m glad you are home!!
I gave you a blog award. When you have time, stop by my blog and pick it up.
Praying for a better tomorrow!

I’ve got the Signing Time songs running around in my head, but no way could I ever sing them all by heart!
Glad you’re home and no infection! Just praying for a quick recovery!
So glad my insomnia took over in the wee hours and called me here. I am thrilled to hear that you guys are home, and I’m praying for the worse to pass quickly.
Love, hugs and prayers…always.
I’m glad to hear that he is home and doing well!
I am so glad you are home!!! Big Hugs for Parky
I hope tomorrow is the day
Love to all,
Amy
We are so happy to know Parky is home….and thankful there is no infection. Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow….seems to be our theme song and we will sing it for Sir Parker. May tomorrow be a happy day, with less pain and lots of healing.
We love you sweet boy…..and big smooches back at you!!!!
I am so glad that you are home safely! We just changed computers, so I am not used to not having all my bookmarks on hand to regularly check. I realized that I had not seen an update because I had not been looking, DUH!
I am so glad to hear that you are home and that there is no sign of infection (knocking on wood too). You all have been through a lot! I hope little Parker’s is feeling better and better every day!
Glad to hear you’re home. I cannot believe they didn’t give him better meds. Tylenol & Motrin don’t even work on my son’s broken leg right now. Hopefully he’ll get to feeling better soon
Hows it going? Are you still trying to get caught up after being in the Hospital? Hope and pray that all is going good and that Parker is still making good progress in his healing process.
Love in Christ,
