A Boy. A Box. And a fry.

We are still working on the eating around here. Still trying to work with Parker on his tongue placement while chewing. Cause food only works it’s magic when it actually gets into a Brave Hero’s stomach.

If you know what I’m sayin’.

But there does seem to be one battle that we have won. Parker is actually wanting to eat. And not just the ‘pull up his shirt and point to his g-tube’ kind of eating either.

No, we are talking about the actual, what’s that you got there and how come I don’t have any brand of eating.

Finally.

And as I am about to prove to you, where you eat, and the ambiance contained within, also makes a difference in your dining experience.

Wouldn’t you love to do your dining in a box?

IMG_3246

A joint where you can order your fries cut extra thick and seasoned to where even a trached kid can taste them?

Obviously, the food is literally finger lickin’ good.

It has been so exciting to watch Parker develop an actual desire for food. Before he would look at us as if we were nuts and frantically sign “NO!”

We’re getting there. The going may be slow. But the destination is sure.

And the wait is oh, so worth it.

Hurrah!! We didn’t have g tube type eating problems but we DO feed Gracie in a box (we have lots of boxes that she likes to sit in). It is easier for her to grab the food. I thought we were the only ones!

And Parker–great choice of food!! Fries will serve you well!
